LaTeX text in Inkscape

My LaTeX paper-writing workflow had suffered a severe blow when Inkscape 0.47 was introduced into Ubuntu repositories. With this version Inkscape switched to Cairo library for EPS export and that produced this bug for those of us who use pstricks to make the text in figures look more LaTeX-like.Read more

I have just discovered a project called MyPaint. And I am so excited about it that I can hold myself together :D … from the look of it it is everything that I have ever wished that Gimp would be … it has everything that I missed when I abandoned Photoshop for moral/philosophical reasons and moved completely to Linux. And it is open source! Can't wait to try it out …
