Software

My world revolves around computers since I was only 10 years old. At the beginning the important thing was entertainment – and with that I mean computer games. But soon just playing them wasn't enough. I wanted to create my own game. So it was the pursuit of that goal which lead me deeper and deeper into the digital world. I began to discover computer languages: first came Basic, then Visual Basic, C++, Pascal, Java, C, PHP… And after all (for even I do not live in the clouds all of the time) there is also money (it is the damnation of the modern world, but really hard to live without). But that is just a side-fact that persuaded me to go to the Faculty of Computer and Information Science in Ljubljana. Currently I am attending the third year and I am also a member of the Laboratory of Computer Graphics and Multimedia that is located at the faculty.

Ongoing stuff

  • CamALay – A Linux library with some additional functionality to OpenCV. Mostly access to a bit more exotic camera devices.
  • coffeeshop – Coffeeshop is a conglomerate of handy general purpose Java classes. Started as a spinoff of the WebStrips project.
  • WebStrips – A simple personal project; web-comic reader written in Java.
  • Aibu – Aibu is a generic image annotation tool written in Java. It is still in early stages of development but pretty usable.
  • Rhetoric – Rhetoric is an open-source Java-based application that can help you with public talks and presentations by providing you useful information like time and notes. This functionality exists in some office products but the aim of the Rhetoric is to be more general.

Various plugins and code pieces

  • Mono Addins – My private repository for Mono Addins.
  • SonyEricsson Importer for SportsTracker – A simple importer that I am using to get the data from my current phone into SportsTracker. Currently this class works only as a stand-alone program with SportsTracker jar file dependency.

Finished projects

  • Tetronix – Well it is a game… not my first one, but definitely the first that deserves to be put up here. (link is currently broken because I must first find a working copy of the game … somewhere … sorry)
  • MineSweep – A simple java applet game that I wrote as an example for a “Java programing for beginners” course back in the summer of 2005.
  • Fomalhaut – 3D rocket race game written in Java in the spring semester 2006 as a project for the courses Computer Graphics and Operating Systems (the site is unfortunately no longer online, but there are some ideas about a more user friendly remake … when I will have more free time).
  • Sentinel – A really simple motion detection application for web camera. It works with QuickTime for Java and JMF.
