A promising extension for Inkscape has been released in these days by Guillaume Savaton. It is called Sozi and it can be used to generate a presentation similar to Prezi online tool but using only SVG (created in Inkscape) and JavaScript. One can define frames and transitions between them, generate the presentation and publish it online. I really like the open standards approach even though I am a bit concerned about the current speeds of SVG rendering in browsers. But I will check Sozi very soon ... it will not be only a test ride as I really have a presentation to prepare.

The official site is at the moment mostly written in French (a bit inconvenient for me) but I hope it will be translated when the project gains some momentum ... there is also a git repository at github.
