A story of a package

(warning: familiarity with the Lost series required for optimal reading of this post … otherwise this is just a crappy meaningless sequence of words … well it may be so either way … )

Some two weeks ago I was in Graz visiting a friend and an ex-coworker (and also sketching a lot). A side-project of this trip was an Amazon order with intention of saving shipping fee (shipping to Austria from German Amazon is free). The main subject of this purchase were some cool looking Dharma Initiative logo t-shirts for me and some of the co-workers.

Unfortunately some items did not arrive in time of my stay (damn Pattern Recognition book, why does it have to be so popular). So the friend send me the remaining items in a package. As a loyal Lost fan he decorated the box with some Lost related material. Now here is the lesson to be remembered: NEVER put the Numbers on anything. The Numbers are cursed!

The Numbers

Well in this case what happened was that the postman came to our house and nobody was home … then somehow he forgot to leave the note and left. Because of the Numbers … I am sure that is the cause. The package was waiting in our neighborhood post-office for four days before we finally considered investigating this a bit … I guess they would just send it back after a while. Anyway … everything is well now. Just remember: do not put those numbers on any kind of important package or envelope :)
