With the arrival of my new 24" LCD monitor I found myself in front of a problem: while my virtual workspace certainly got bigger I have lost a lot of my physical space on my desk.
The solution was to mount the screen to the wall and by that freeing the space occupied by the monitor stand (those stands can get quite big). The problem there was that I have not been careful enough when buying the monitor and got one without the VESA mount. Of course that was not really a problem but rather a reason to do some wood work again. And as I have been already making a stand for the 24" screen I have thought … why not throw in my old 17" as well. Here is what came out of it:

yes … I am almost at the end and I must say that I am quite glad that the things turned out the way they did … it is an excellent book and it just opened my eyes to some things. for one thing I have noticed a repeating pattern of great scientist with a great theory being turned down by the community over and over again … a bit depressing actually considering that I am trying to succeed in the very same thing :)
