Another post ... after three months! And because of these depressing circumstances it should be of a more overview-ish nature ... So ... as I can see I have stopped with the new ViCoS webpage ... that was launched in February but soon needed some extra adjustments ... extra work for me of course. And it looks like it will consume even more of my time in the future because we (the lab) have finally decided that the content should be rewritten or at least redesigned to be more eye-catching. It will probably never end but then again ... at least I am doing something good for the laboratory :) And then the other thing that kept me busy in these months of somehow chilly Spring was the realization that postgraduate study may not be as easy as I have imagined :) There is quite a lot of work and the majority of it has to be done in a few months. As for research ... it is coming along ... rather slowly but at least my mentor is not complaining yet. It is hard to say whether I am doing a good job or no because it is research ... you just cannot know it until you see the results. Moving along ... I had a chance to do quite a lot of graphical design in the last two months ... nothing really important but a good practice nevertheless. Some stuff my even find its way to my web gallery ... the highlight in this area could be the faculty yearbook that I have agreed to help on regarding design. However it turned out to be more of a engineering/technical challenge ... and combined with extremely "dead" deadlines (two days from today) I am afraid that the design will be the least of our issues. All I can say that I will (most likely) be better next year. And then there was also a illness (cold-flu-something) that ruined my 1st-of-May holiday. It was a short illness with an extraordinary long recovery period ... that is still ongoing I must say. There ... thats about it for an overview ... I hope I will continue in my regular pace from now on. The immediate future, however, does not look that promising.
