The laboratory that I am working in is perhaps one of the best on our faculty regarding research but (at least that is my impression so far) one of the worse when it comes to organizing non-work-related activities.

That includes Christmas celebrations. But this year we managed to organize the first Christmas lunch/dinner (first plan was to organize bowling but that is all booked up well in advance in December). The first official Christmas work lunch/dinner for me and the first for the laboratory as a whole.
