About me

This is a section that is dedicated to the author of this page – me. Though I used to hate pages with ‘About me’ section, I now see that sometimes there has to be one to provide a better view into the ‘mind’ of the author of the page contents. Therefore I've wrote a few paragraphs about myself …

Bio

Luka
I was born to mother Brigita and father Igor on June 18, 1983 in Ljubljana – Slovenia. I can not remember much of my early childhood, but those who do will say that I was a very very quiet boy who had rarely shown the emotions in such a way that you expect a child to show them. It was 1990, the year of the war for the independence in Slovenia when I started attending the primary school. Can't remember much of that either. Then came the high school: The Diocesan Classical Gymnasium. Though many say that the years in the high school are the best in ones life (do not ask me who says that, but I swear I've heard it), mine were filled with some of the my worst memories and I really hate to look back on those days. Well, luckily it was over and after I have passed the graduation exam, I enrolled the Faculty for Computer and Information Science (FRI) at the University of Ljubljana.

In the summer of 2003 I was accepted to the Laboratory for Computer Graphics and Multimedia at FRI. I have spent my 9th and last semester of my undergraduate studies as an Erasmus exchange student in Luleå, Sweden. I have completed my graduate studies of Computer Science in September 2007 and I have started my postgraduate studies of Computer Science in October 2007. From October 2007 I am also a Researcher (actually the title is “Young researcher” but that sounds somehow lame) at the Visual Cognitive Systems Laboratory at FRI.

Personal

A few random sentences about me: I am a vegetarian (the kind that eats fish), I do not smoke and I drink alcohol only if the occasion demands it and never to get drunk. I have also been described as a workaholic although I sometimes consider myself to be the laziest person on the planet. I practice yoga and my favorite sport is badminton.

I try to stay open-minded all the time but sometimes I react in a really conservative manner … can't help it. I am a shy person when it comes to big parties with people that I do not know well. As for religion I currently consider myself spiritual agnostic (nice buzzword …)

take care ;)

thanks for all your comments Nadjet! (next time you could also write down some critical remarks :) i need those badly ... i mean constructive criticism )

its a deal about the photo stuff ... i am not sure about the dancing though :D ;)

as usual, nice profile Luka. After commenting many of your pics, I don't really have much to say here, except that I'm really happy to be a WAYN member and that I really hope we can meet one day! You well teach me how to take photos and I could teach you how to dance in the streets:)

Yes ... but my high school years were not that nice because of personal reasons. My head was nevertheless in the clouds in that time and it remains there even now ;)

Nice bio -> I'm sorry though that you don't have fond memories from your high school years :) I do agree that high school were the best years of my life... *being a young adult but still can wonder with your head in de clouds:)*

Take care & good luck with your studies! xXx Nina

of course ... i have probably tuned to your playlist :D

I see that you are listening to similar music than I am. :-)
